Navigation guide for all modules and 7 jurisdictions. Tax parameters, rates and thresholds are not included in this article. See the separate Tax Parameters articles per jurisdiction.


1. Platform Identity

Celery is cloud-based payroll and HRM software for the Caribbean region. Accessible via browser, mobile app (iOS & Android) and desktop. Support is always included free of charge. Automatic updates when laws and regulations change per jurisdiction.

1.1 SaaS Model — Self-Service Platform

Clients log in to Celery and run their own payroll independently. All support instructions are self-service.

2. Login & Environment

URL: app.celerypayroll.com

Account label (top left): Shows environment, country and company name. Environment switch icon to navigate between employers.

User menu (top right): User details | Password & Security | Access rights | Log out

Account-level icons (top right): Account | Help | Notifications (bell icon)

Separate environment for employees and users outside the main application.

3. Main Menu

Dashboard | Documents | Processing | Employees | Calendar | Employer | Reports


4. Dashboard

Landing page after login. Customizable via "Customize dashboard" at the bottom.

Available widgets: Tasks | Important events | Employees with missing information | Most recent documents | Recent blog posts | Absent this week | Employees by age and gender | Recent activities | Sick leave percentage per month


5. Documents

Path: Main menu > Documents

Filters: Name/description | Category | Sort by date or name | Uploaded by | Status: active / archived

Add document: Button "+ Add" > Choose file(s) > Option "Notify via email" on/off

Documents are automatically generated by Celery after closing a payroll run.


6. Processing

Path: Main menu > Processing

Sub-tabs: Periodic run | Extra run | Progress & history

6.1 Periodic Run

Step 1: Select pay schedule | Step 2: Select pay period | Step 3: Review employee list

Tabs within the run: Progress | Employees | Mutations | Review | Notification

6.2 Mutations Tab

Base salary per employee visible. Wage code columns configurable per run. Add mutation via wage code dropdown per employee.

Update menu: Adjust columns | Add employee(s) | Distribute tip pool | Import mutations

6.3 Review Tab

Full payslip overview per employee with all wage codes and descriptions.

Approval options: Approve | Process later | Process as zero | Approve all (bulk)

Downloads: Review list | Mutation list | Wage costs

6.4 Notification Tab

Payslips for employees: publish immediately or on a date. Reports for company users: publish immediately or on a date. Close button at the bottom of the page.

6.5 Extra Run

Separate run outside the periodic cycle. Same tab structure as periodic run.

6.6 Progress & History

Timeline of all runs per pay schedule with status and date. Reopening a run is possible via action button per run.


7. Employees

Path: Main menu > Employees

Sub-tabs: Overview | Fixed wage codes

7.1 Employee Overview

Columns: Name | Number | Rate | Pay schedule | Tenure

Filter: active | inactive | out of service. Search available.

7.2 Employee Detail Page

Toggle top right: Payroll | HR

Payroll view sections: Personal | Contract details | Salary | Taxes and premiums | Fiscal allowances | Family | Integrations

HR view sections: Documents | Leave policies | Employment history and salary | Education | Emergency contacts | Company assets

7.3 Fixed Wage Codes

Assign fixed wage codes that are automatically included in every run for all or specific employees.


8. Calendar

Path: Main menu > Calendar

View: Month | Week | Day | Monthly agenda

Event types: Time off | Sick leave | Birthdays & Anniversaries | Terminations


9. Employer

Path: Main menu > Employer

9.1 Details

Company name | Official name | Industry | Registration numbers (per jurisdiction) | Address | Logo (jpg/png, min. 480x400px)

Settings: Currencies | Timezone | User language | Fiscal year

9.2 Wage Codes

Searchable by name or code. System wage codes are not deletable. Custom wage codes are editable and deletable.

9.3 Pay Schedules

Name | Pay period | Next pay date | Pay period ending on | Apply by default to new employees

9.4 General Ledger Codes

Code | Sub-code | Name | Linked wage code(s)

9.5 Departments & Cost Centers

Create with Code | Name | Parent department. Link to employees and general ledger codes.

9.6 Pension

Franchises | Pension plans. Fields: Name | Pension fund | Policy number | Employee/employer percentage | Min/max per year | Basis | Link employees

13. Celery Tax Add-on

Chrome browser extension. Requires Account-level user.

Activate: Employer > Integrations > General integrations > Tax Add-on

Supported portals: Aruba | Bonaire | Sint Eustatius | Saba | Curaçao

How it works: Log in to tax authority portal > open declaration > Celery fills in form fields automatically.

Error "No employer available": Insufficient rights or no employer created yet.


14. Mobile App

Free for employees. Available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Languages: Dutch | English | Spanish. Login via Face ID, fingerprint or Two Factor Authentication.

Employees: View payslips and annual statements | Submit leave request | Submit sick leave | View leave balance

Managers: Real-time overview of leave/sick | Approve/reject leave requests | View employee documents and contact details


15. Gross-Net Calculator

Path: celerypayroll.com > Resources > Calculators

Available for all 7 countries. Input: gross monthly income + year. Result is indicative.
