Replacing an employee's timeoff policy

Why replace a time off policy

If there are several different schemes within your company, you may need to transfer an employee from one scheme to another. To help you with this, Celery gives you the option of replacing an employee's time off scheme. So the old one is then archived, and the new one activated.

Please note that this action cannot be reversed

Where to find it

Go to tab employees / select employee / HR / Time Off - Edit:



On the right side of the policy, your find two options:



How to replace an employee's leave policy

When you need to move from one arrangement to another for an employee you use replace.

Note: Do not replace leave with schedule with leave without schedule


You will then get a pop-up menu where you can specify you choices:



  1. as of which date the change will take place
  2. which rule will become the new rule
  3. do you want to move the accrued hours that have been processed within the old policy
  4. do you want to move the hours that carried over from the last year to the new policy
  5. do you want to move the adjusments you manually create to the new policy
  6. do you want to move the pending time off requests not aproved yet

Pressing Replace will initiate this action.

Please note that this action cannot be reversed
