HRM - Optional - Special Leave Arrangements
Some employees get extra leave days in certain situations. You can set up separate arrangements for each situation. Here are the main ones:
Extra days for years of service
Some employees earn more leave days the longer they work for you.
Here is how it works:
- First, give the employee their normal number of leave days.
- Then, add a separate arrangement for years of service.
- Example: an employee gets 1 extra day after working for you for 5 years.
You can create as many of these arrangements as you need.
Extra days for managers
Some employees get extra leave days because they are in a management role.
Here is how it works:
- First, give the employee their normal number of leave days.
- Then, add a separate management arrangement.
- Example: a manager gets 2 extra days because of their role.
The advantage: if the employee stops being a manager, you simply remove that arrangement. You do not need to change anything else.
Fewer hours for older employees
Some older employees work fewer hours per week.
Example: from age 60, an employee works 1 hour less per week. You can set up an arrangement for this too.
Good to know
Try to create arrangements that work for groups of employees — not just one person. This keeps things simple and easy to manage.
