Add a new wage code with balance
Want a wage code that keeps track of a balance (like a loan that gets paid off over time)? You can duplicate wage code 860.
You can create a separate wage code for each individual employee, but we don't recommend this.
Instead, try to create wage codes per type of item — for example, one wage code for "deduction xxx." This way, you can use the same wage code for several employees at once.
You can still see the details per employee in Report 6.
How to add it
Go to Employee → Salary → Fixed wage codes. Here you can add a new wage code with a balance.
- Instalment amount: this is the amount that gets deducted from the salary every month, until the full balance has been paid off.
- In the current payroll run, you can change the amount just for that one month. The next month, the standard amount (for example, €250.00) will be deducted again automatically.
