Why documents stay in the old language after a language change

  • Documents are created in whatever language was selected at the moment they were generated. If you change the language after documents were already made, those existing documents will not update on their own.
  • To get new documents in your new language, you need to re-open the pay run and finalize it again. This creates all the documents over again, this time using the language you just selected.
  • Some documents always stay in one specific language, no matter what you choose. Examples are periodic declarations and year-end documents. These have an official, required layout that must be in a certain language.
Note: this is why these particular documents may look different (language-wise) from the rest, even after you redo the pay run.
