How do I make two new wage codes for ACU: one for the employer's contribution and one for a deduction?

You don't need to build these wage codes from scratch. You can make a copy of an existing wage code instead. In Celery, this is called duplicating.

How to duplicate a wage code

  1. Go to Employer and then Wage codes.
  2. Find the wage code you want to copy.
  3. Look for the "+" at the far right of the line. Only wage codes with a "+" can be copied.
  4. Click the "+" to make a copy.

Wage code 1: The employer's contribution

The employer's contribution to ACU is taxed. So copy wage code 140.

Wage code 2: The deduction

Which wage code you copy depends on what the deduction needs to do.

  • Is it only a deduction? Then copy wage code 850.
  • Does it need to be linked to MCB Bank? Then copy wage code 910 "MCB deduction".
  • Or: Use the existing "Deduction ACU" wage code. Then you don't need to make a copy.
