What is the category ‘proforma’ employee used for?

  • Modified on: Mon, 26 Dec, 2016 at 4:05 AM

A proforma employee is often used to generate a proforma payroll calculation used for, among other things, verifying what gross wages go with certain net wages in order to state the proper gross wages in, for instance, an employment agreement. Proforma employees are included in the payroll run but are not actually processed. These are not used in, for example, declarations and wages processed for proforma employees are also not included in the payroll journal entry.
